Gyro Manchester appoints BBC's Martin Tapley as head of planning
Marketing and ad agency Gyro has appointed the BBC's Martin Tapley to the role of head of planning of Gyro Manchester.
Tapley, who held the role of senior audience planner at the BBC, will be responsible for uncovering insights that will allow Gyro's clients to reach their customers effectively and in a human manner.
He commented: "[Gyro] has a fantastic ethos of putting human relevance at the heart of a brand’s communications, no matter how complicated the product. To me that is crucial. I am fortunate to be heading up a team of highly motivated planners with incredible depth of experience and skills. I can’t wait to help build on their already sterling reputation among our clients and across the gyro network.”
Prior to the BBC, Tapley cut his teeth at TBWA/Manchester on accounts such as BP, Brother International Europe, Cussons and Nissan.
Gyro Manchester has also hired Catherine Hankinson as digital project and traffic manager.
