Supermodel Cindy Crawford earns Twitter praise with un-retouched image
Supermodel Cindy Crawford has won plaudits from fans and cited as a role model for women after proudly baring her body in a photo shoot without resorting to Photoshop to cover up her imperfections.
The bold image saw the 48 year-old mum pose for Marie Claire in her underwear for a December 2013 cover story in the style magazines Mexico and Latin America edition.
Describing her release of the un-retouched image Crawford said she was inspired to lead by example for the sake of her daughter: “I try to be a good role model for my daughter in terms of just accepting myself, not saying 'Does this make me look fat?' or 'I can't eat that' or 'I'm on a diet.' I just try to lead by example.
“If we go out for ice cream I'm not going to not have any, I'm just going to have the baby-size cone. I don't want her to think that taking care of yourself means depriving yourself and not having fun.”
