Starcom MediaVest hires Simon Jones as business director

Satrcom MediaVest Group (SMG) has appointed former Mediacom exec Simon Jones as business director.

He joins the agency in March and is tasked with leading the agency's digital strategy across a portfolio of clients including Warner Music Group, Spotify, Now and Jack Daniels. Jones will report to both SMG’s managing partner Adam Foley and co-chief executive Steve Parker.

Foley said Jones will be vital in driving digital growth for its clients.

Commenting on his new role, Jones said: “SMG is recognised as one of the leading agencies in the digital field and they continue to accelerate their capabilities in this area. The way the media business operates is constantly evolving and I am really looking forward to joining a collaborative team that thrives on the opportunities that digital and technology present.”

Jones previously headed up the digital team at Mediacom's entertainment division as associate director over a five year period which saw 300 per cent growth.
