Odeon preps fresh B2B social media strategy with ASTP appointment

Odeon Cinemas is preparing to launch a fresh B2B social media strategy with the appointment of social media marketing agency ASTP to drive awareness of its Business Events and Experiences offering.

This is the first time the cinema chain has ventured into the B2B social media marketing arena, and the strategy will focus on LinkedIn for sharing and promoting content.

ASTP will work to distribute and promote content to businesses and professional individuals to communicate the opportunity to use Odeon cinemas as venues for conference and events.

Shireen Alvis of Lee, senior sales manager at Odeon said: “With the recent emergence of LinkedIn as a B2B social media channel and it’s improved advertising offering, we believe it’s the perfect time to launch our social media presence.

"The past five years or so has seen incredible growth of social media activity in the B2C space, and we now see LinkedIn as a viable platform to build awareness of Odeon’s Business Events and Experiences within the market to win new business."

In addition to conferencing and event services the cinema chain’s B2B offering also includes bulk ticket vouchers, electronic gift cards and sponsorships.
