Iris taps Wieden + Kennedy's Ben Milligan for group planning director role
Iris has brought Wieden + Kennedy's Ben Milligan onboard to fill the newly created role of group planning director.
Milligan will take on strategic leadership for the agency's Mini and Domino’s accounts in particular, reporting into head of planning Ben Essen and chief strategy officer Sam Noble.
Prior to Wieden + Kennedy Milligan held planning director and head of planning positions respectively at Saatchi & Saatchi and Karmarama, as well as senior strategy positions at Holler Digital and Naked Communications.
Essen said of the appointment: “Ben has been reinventing media for as long as anyone. At Naked he modernized British icons like the Tate, Selfridges and Channel 4. Since then he’s been building brands that people want to get involved with from Nintendo to Nike. Ben has a proven track record in creating effective, purpose-driven Participation Brands. That is at the heart of what we do at Iris.”
The agency has also appointed Wunderman's David Austin, to the planning team. At Wunderman he was an integrated specialist working on the News UK account.
