Nike’s brand Jordan has created a virtual experience for fans at the “Pearl Pavilion” at Penn Plaza that includes a 1,200 square foot responsive LED half-court, which allows guests to emulate two of Michael Jordan’s most famous shots.

The interactive event is in celebration of NBA All-Star Weekend and the Jordan brand's 30th anniversary.

Jordan and innovation agency AKQA teamed up to give younger fans a closer look at the “man behind the brand” since many teenagers today are too young to be familiar with Michael Jordan’s glory days.

“The Last Shot” includes nearly 10 million LEDs across 876 screens, completely covering the floors and walls of the space. Fans will have the chance to star in two of Jordan’s most iconic shots: the 1982 NCAA Championship, and his last shot as a Chicago Bull during the 1998 NBA Finals, and there’s also the option to freestyle.

With visual and audio replicas of the exact moments in history, the guest will be able to hear the sneaker squeaks and shouts of teammates as the shot clock winds down to zero. The LED floor will guide the user through the play, and crowd reaction as well as court graphics change based on performance.

The “Slam Dunk Camera” will take videos and stills of each experience for guests to access and share on social media. The experience also includes a history lesson on Jordon as well as photo booths that allow visitors to have their portrait taken with the overlay, “I’m not Michael, I am Jordan.”
