Macmillan Cancer Support has launched an online campaign to raise awareness of its Online Community platform which allows cancer sufferers to share experiences and find information.

A 70-second ad is the focus of the 'Lonely Thoughts to Shared Support' campaign, and is an animated film featuring a cancer patient describing to viewers what goes through a person's mind when they are told they have cancer.

Created by The Minimart and animated and illustrated by Doug Haymen, the film features sound design by Jim Griffin from Jungle who recorded the voice over with real cancer suffers and their partners.

The film will appear on YouTube as well as via the Macmillan website and related social media channels.
