Christian Toksvig, former Getty Images business vice president, is set on taking a bite of his old employer’s market by founding ‘StockUnlimited’ - a subscription based service offering unlimited access to stock image content.

The service, which entered beta today (Wednesday 11 February) will offer subscribers uncapped access to its growing library of stock vector graphics, clipart and illustrations, as Toksvig aims to undercut Getty’s pricing.

On the StockUnlimited team is Toksvig as chief executive and Andy Sitt, founder and chief executive of stock photography marketplace, 123RF.com serving as chairman and lead investor.

Christian Toksvig, site founder, told The Drum: “There were too many complicated rules and limitations around stock content; StockUnlimited is our response to that frustration."

After Toksvig left his three year tenure as Getty vice president for business development in December 2013, he spent the following year founding StockUnlimited.
