Marriott Hotels has kicked off a campaign across Microsoft's Skype aimed at encouraging English expat rugby fans to come home to watch a live match at Twickenham.

The hotel brand will call rugby fans to contribute video content which demonstrate why their selcted fellow rugby enthusiast from abroad should be chosen to attend one of four top matches.

The campaign, brokered by Microsoft Advertising and MEC Access, will run under the strapline 'Reunite Me With', with accompanying hashtag. Four winners will be chosen by Marriott to fly home for an England game in 2015, the first being the last game of the RBS 6 Nations, England v France on 21 March.

“We wanted to do something special for fans living abroad, who usually can only watch the game on TV at awkward times in the middle of the night,” said Chi Nguyen, director field marketing Europe, Marriott Hotels.

The campaign will run in 13 countries across Microsoft platforms including MSN, Outlook.com, and Windows 8 in the UK. Outside of Microsoft platforms, it will be promoted across additional channels such as England Rugby channels, and will feature content creation, digital engagement, social media, experiential and PR. The initial phase of the campaign, for the RBS 6 Nations, will run until 20 February.

Marriott Hotels is a partner of England Rugby as well as the title partner of the Marriott London 7s.
