Titan Magazines has announced a BBC Doctor Who comic, featuring the 10th, 11th and 12th Doctors in each issue.

Launching Friday 26 February the comic hopes to bridge the gap for fans looking for their next fix before the new series.

Every issue features work from writers and artists including Nick Abadzis (Laika), Elena Casagrande (Angel, Star Trek), Al Ewing (Loki: Agent of Asgard), Rob Williams (Trifecta), Robbie Morrison (The Authority, 2000AD) and Dave Taylor (Batman: Death by Design).

Titan has licensed Doctor Who from BBC Worldwide, he commercial arm of the BBC, and has marketed the new release through advertising, online and print ads, PR and social media.

Nicholas Brett, director of UK publishing, BBC Worldwide, commented: "We're delighted that Titan will be bridging fas the Doctor Who comic from next month and extending the relationship BBC Worldwide already enjoys with Titan."

An original humour strip and competitions offering Doctor Who prizes will feature in each issue with an exclusive code to download comic strip characters into the Doctor Who Legacy game featuring in issue one.

The comic release follows news this week that Lego has green lighted crowdsourced Doctor Who and Wall-E sets.
