An official trailer promoting the translation of E.L. James’ Fifty Shades of Grey novel into cinematic form has been recreated entirely in Lego by animators Antonio and Andrea Toscano.

For Fifty Shades of Bricks the pair has painstakingly recreated key scenes such as the initial interview to lift kiss with Grey’s grunts and grimaces in the steamier scenes immortalised in toy form.

The two-minute clip distils the whips and bondage plot into simple plastic blocks representing title characters Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele, right down to the whips and blindfolds.

Whilst the Lego-iteration is viewable by all the film itself has been slapped with an 18 rating owing to its ‘strong sex and sado-masochistic’ scenes, images which have already seen the picture banned in Malaysia.
