Hollywood action man Sylvester Stallone has been sighted in the UK as he films a series of Warburtons adverts which will see him take up the mantle of brand ambassador.

The Expendables star has reportedly turned his hand to bread sales in this latest endeavour. Earlier this week, he was spotted at the Warburtons bakery in Whitwood according to a report from the Pontefract & Castleford Express.

The 68-year-old will be the face of the brand in a series of ads, parodying his most iconic movies. In one ad he is set to run up a flight of steps holding two Warburtons loaves in a nod to the Philadelphia Museum of Art sprint in Rocky 1.

A source at Warburtons told the Sun: "The bosses at Warburtons have signed a real top-drawer name in Stallone. Sly doesn't come cheap and he isn't an obvious choice to promote bread - but he is bound to get people talking."

The Drum is awaiting comment from Warburtons and will provide updates accordingly.
