Independent marketing communications agency Mediator has appointed Jo Coughlin as the company’s director of new business.

Coughlin recently returned to Mediator following a year’s maternity leave, having previously held the role of account director, working with clients including T Mobile, Alton Towers, Thorpe Park and Castello. She was also formerly head of partnerships at The Times.

Coughlin said: “It's great to be back at Mediator after a year out. It seems like more brands are using innovative campaigns and collaborations as a great way to grow. I’m really keen to get partnership marketing higher up on brands' radars this year as we have had some fantastic results on campaigns in 2014. It’s a discipline that delivers so much value back to the business and needs to be higher up on the consideration list.”

Tara Honeywell, Mediator’s managing director, said: "Jo has vast experience in delivering partnerships for some of the biggest media and entertainment brands in the UK. This, coupled with her experience working client side, means she is best placed to help brands realise the power of partnership marketing and we're certainly excited to have her on board.”

Mediator is based in Camden, London.
