Pentland Brands appoints Sean Hastings as global marketing director

Pentland Brands, parent company behind a host of sports, outdoor and fashion brands including Berghaus, Ellessee and Speedo, has named Sean Hastings as its global marketing director.

Responsible for product and marketing across the group Hastings first joined Pentland a decade ago heading Speedo’s global equipment and licensed categories before becoming a member of the Speedo executive team in 2008. Latterly he has been vice president of product and marketing since 2010.

Andy Long, chief executive officer at Pentland Brands said: “Sean has extensive experience of evolving the product development process to drive success, as well as integrating marketing communications to deliver world class propositions for our consumers.

“We are committed to leadership development and succession planning, so I’m really pleased we have been able to make these appointments from our own leadership talent bank. It means we can ensure continuity for our teams, our partners and customers”.

In a separate announcement Jamie Cornforth, head of category, product & Marketing at Speedo, has assumed the role of interim vice president of product & marketing at Speedo.
