eBay picks Vodafone's Alessandra Di Lorenzo for newly created commercial director role
eBay Advertising has snapped up Alessandra Di Lorenzo, formerly of Vodafone’s M-Commerce division, for the newly created role of commercial director.

The e-commerce giant has appointed Di Lorenzo to extend the firm’s trade marketing capacity and to focus on relationship management.
Di Lorenzo, who has vast experience in digital advertising and global mobile marketing from her time at Vodafone’s M-Commerce division also previously held a seat on the Mobile Marketing Association Board of Directors.
Phuong Nguyen, director of eBay Advertising UK, said: “As a company we are committed to recruiting the best talent and Alessandra, who will strengthen our relationships with key technology and resource providers in the mobile and digital advertising sectors, is a fantastic addition to the team.”
Di Lorenzo will also be responsible for driving key commercial relationships between eBay Advertising and its partners.
The news comes as eBay gears up to halting all regular ad deals to run only programmatically traded ad deals in a week-long experiement.
Nguyen previously told The Drum that the e-commerce site will kick-start the experiment in the UK in the third week of February 2015, having struck tie-ups with brands including O2.
