Royal Mail is seeking to capitalise on burgeoning demand for online shopping through the launch of a new Click & Drop service designed to streamline the process of shipping eBay parcels.

The online postage and label service allows integration with eBay accounts allowing labels and postage to be purchased at the click of a mouse with the option to pay by PayPal also included.

This follows new research from the delivery service which found that nearly a quarter of all UK small and medium sized online retailers intend to start using online marketplaces to start increasing sales this year.

Nick Landon, Managing Director of Royal Mail Parcels, said: "Royal Mail is very pleased to introduce Click & Drop, our new parcels online postage solution for eBay sellers. This is part of Royal Mail's programme of investment in IT to support customers and make it easier for them to do business with us. The new solution allows eBay sellers to integrate their accounts, enabling them to manage their orders more easily."
