Online streaming platform Vimeo has tapped two of YouTube’s popular vloggers and inked a deal with New Form Digital Studios to produce four new digital series for Vimeo On Demand.

The deal includes series adaptions of short films from YouTubers PJ Liguori (aka KickThePj) and Sawyer Hartman, whose shorts Oscar’s Hotel and Parallax debuted as part of the inaugural short film Incubator from New Form Digital in late 2014.

Both series will be available via Vimeo On Demand, which launched in March 2013 to allow anyone on the platform to charge for viewing their videos. The shows consist of 10 episodes each, along with exclusive behind-the-scenes videos, available for purchase.

This is the latest exclusive content push from the platform after the November 2014 release of its first original series, High maintenance. It forms part of Vimeo's long-term play to emerge from the shadow of rivals Netflix and YouTube with an alternative propostion.
