Screen siren of yesteryear Marilyn Monroe has been brought back to the fore after being selected by make-up brand Max Factor to front its latest campaign.

Despite passing away in 1962 the forties icon will serve as a ‘global campaign ambassador’ starring in several adverts for the beauty specialists.

Max Factor’s Pat McGrath commented: “Marilyn made the sultry red lip, creamy skin and dramatically lined eyes the most famous beauty look of the Forties and it’s a look that continues to dominate the beauty and fashion industry.

“It’s the ultimate look that defines glamour – nothing else compares.”

Monroe’s estate is estimated to generate around £11m per year for rights holder Authentic Brands Group by Forbes Magazine.
