Virgin Holidays is set to release a series of sassy ads showing carefree holiday-goers enjoy the sunny Caribbean on Christmas Day.

The ad, created by M&C Saatchi Group, comes as part of Virgin Holidays’ integrated ‘Flaunt It’ campaign. In it, 59 year-old hairdresser Colin stars, pulling off a stunning water-swishing hair flick in an azure blue ocean.

This will be followed by five separate 'Flaunt It' executions in 2015, showing those lucky enough to be holidaying in the Caribbean shamelessly enjoy their trip. MGOMD-planned media will see the ad run across TV, outdoor, online and below the line, from Christmas day.

Aoife McDonald, advertising and media marketing manager at Virgin Holidays, said: “Flaunt It is all about celebrating how amazing you’ll feel when you travel with Virgin Holidays.

“Whoever you are, on a Virgin Holiday, you’ll get back to being your very best. The campaign executions are witty, vibrant and colourful – just the thing to cut through the January blues.”

Elspeth Lynn, executive creative director at M&C Saatchi, added: “The January sale market is cluttered with lots of holiday companies pushing images of enticing destinations in attempts to lure customers in.

“Virgin Holidays needed to cut through this, using the power of its cheeky, sassy, challenger brand status to stand out and drive sales. We set out to make the Virgin Holidays.”

M&C Saatchi has worked with Virgin Holidays since August 2012.
