WPP has acquired digital agency Clarus Digital in a bid to expand its Lat Am presence.

Clarus Digital is WPP's latest acquisition in the region

Clarus, which employs 112 people, currently works with clients such as Telcel, Citi-Banamex, Aeromexico, and Sigma Alimentos. It was founded in 2009 and is responsible for full-service digital marketing and media buying from its base in Mexico City.

This acquisition continues WPP's strategy of investing in fast growing sectors such as digital and its commitment to developing its strategic networks throughout Latin America.

WPP generates $1.6bn in Lat Am, boasting over 20,000 employees. Furthermore, the firm’s global digital revenues were over $6bn in 2013 – accounting for just over a third of the group’s overall income.
