Sony is increasingly gaining a reputation as a punchbag for global hackers after it was targeted yet again by unidentified assailant’s intent on bringing down some of its core services.

The latest target, part of a series of such digital assaults, was the PlayStation Network online store, which was targeted by a group calling itself the ‘Lizard Squad’.

Their efforts saw visitors to the portal greeted by a simple one line message which read: “Page Not Found! It's not you. It's the internet's fault.”

It comes as Sony is still left grappling with the fall-out from a separate breach at Sony Pictures, which saw personal details of stars such as Cameron Diaz and Angelina Jolie compromised.

Sony now claim to have rectified the issue however and are advising anyone affected to attempt logging in again.
