UK toilet and facial tissue brand Velvet has introduced a new website focusing on the brand’s ‘Three Tree Promise’.

Created by Code Computerlove, the website supports Velvet’s marketing campaign and TV commercial which pledged for every tree Velvet uses it will replant three.

The mobile-first, responsive site gives equal weighting to the brand’s products as its commitment to planting trees and showcases the strapline ‘Luxury for you. Trees for the planet’. The homepage invites users to view video content and get involved with Velvet’s ‘Trees are amazing’ section where they can learn why Velvet thinks trees are incredible and then add their own reason to the site. Visitors are also encouraged to join Velvet’s 112,000-strong Campaign for Trees on Facebook.

Charlotte Parish, Velvet brand manager, commented: “Our core objective for the brand is to help to make people feel good about buying Velvet products, safe in the knowledge that we’re giving something back to the environment and are committed to sustainable forest management.

“Our work with trees section in particular shows the work that Velvet and our customers do to help plant more trees in the world and the benefits that ensue from this.”

A real-time tree counter within the homepage counts the number of trees planted by the brand to-date, which currently stands at more than 6 million.
