ebay Ireland has given its site a seasonal makeover with the introduction of themed ‘Collections’ which allow users to catalogue items they’ve dreamed of buying but lacked the means to do so.

The Santa style wishlists are being led by Irish blogger and TV presenter Ciara O’Doherty who has put together a list of her must-have party picks ahead, focussing on a range of 10 sequined dresses.

Consumers can follow in O’Doherty’s mouse clicks by logging in and searching for wanted products, those most coveted can be marked by a star icon to add them to their own collections – ensuring family members have no excuses for buying socks or badly knitted jumpers.

Eleonora Gandini, Ireland Consumer PR Manager, eBay, said: “The way we shop is changing. Shoppers are in the driving seat like never before and rightly expect an experience that’s both fun and functional. That’s what eBay Collections is all about: the fun of browsing and discovery, that’s shoppable. These new features are part of the biggest suite of changes we’ve introduced to eBay in the last year and they’re designed to help shoppers follow their passions.”
