Vue appoints former Metro chief customer officer Dominic Rowell as commercial director

Vue Entertainment International has appointed former chief customer officer for the Metro, Dominic Rowell, as commercial director UK and Ireland.

The appointment will see Rowell tasked with handling print distribution, user experience, digital product development, digital monetisation, social media and data for the cinema chain.

“I’m thrilled and excited to be joining the Vue team and bringing my expertise and knowledge to develop this great entertainment brand further. Vue is clearly passionate about the cinema experience and 2015 looks set to be a blockbuster year with a line-up of releases,” Rowell said.

Kevin Styles, ‎UK & Ireland managing director of Vue Entertainment, said: “He is a first class addition to the UK and Ireland management team and has exactly the right experience and passion for the role. Dominic will be helping us to achieve our ambition to be the UK’s best and most highly respected cinema brand as we go into 2015 & beyond.”

Films set to be released in the coming months that Vue will be hoping draw large audiences include 50 Shade of Grey, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay and Jurassic World.
