Luxury fashion retailer Harvey Nichols is helping people avoid the disappointment of unwanted Christmas gift with a range of greeting cards that include a not-too-subtle hint about what they want from the department store.

Brought to life in a multi-media campaign from adam&eveDDB, the new range of cards, which can be selected in-store or designed personally online, are being promoted via in-store activation, digital and an online film.

“This year, we want our customers to wake up on Christmas morning and love the presents they get from their nearest and dearest. We all secretly want wonderful gifts and Harvey Nichols this year is there to help make your Christmas dreams come true,” explained Shadi Halliwell, group creative and marketing director of Harvey Nichols.

“With our 'Could I be any Clearer' app, you can cheekily spell out that stylish gift you've always wanted, making sure you end up with that Lanvin silk dress rather than the iron to steam it with.”

Ben Tollett and Emer Stamp, executive creative directors of adam&eveDDB, added: “We all want our Christmas presents to be a nice surprise but they invariably end up being a crashing disappointment. The ‘Could I Be Any Clearer’ Christmas Cards solve that problem in one fell (and easily customisable) swoop.”

Unique cards made via the ‘Could I Be Any Clearer?’ Christmas Card app can be shared via Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
