December 1, 2014 | 2 min read

Jonathan Lacoste

Current gig: co-founder & president, Jebbit

Why he’s nominated: Jonathan is one of the most underrated, transformational figures in digital marketing. He started his company, Jebbit, as an 18-year-old student at Boston College. After dropping out and being the youngest entrepreneur to raise venture capital, Jonathan and the Jebbit team launched a mobile machine learning platform for marketers. The past 12 months have been a whirlwind of success for Jonathan and the Jebbit team. He was named to the Forbes 30 under 30, Direct Marketing News 40 under 40, Emerging Executive in the state of Massachusetts and many others as you can imagine. Jebbit has also continued to be recognized as the Hottest Startup in Boston, and the best work culture for a small tech-startup in Boston. They even opened their second office in NYC.

Jebbit has tripled its revenue and client base in the last 12 months. Clients include, but are not limited to, enterprise brands such as Mazda and TripAdvisor, and leading media companies including CBS and Tribune Media. This past year, Jonathan helped lead the launch of Jebbit's new mobile video product that allows brands and marketers to create "Snapchat-esque" content for their own website and marketing channels. Jonathan embodies the next generation of young innovators by inspiring his clients and partners to not only think outside of the box, but "get rid of the box and re-invent it" type thinking.

He pushes his team to their limits and all while being the hardest working individual I've ever met. A recent series of campaigns that the Jebbit team is especially proud of are with eCommerce clients. In both instances, by implementing Jebbit, the client saw a lift in conversion from 3.3% to 4.3%, representing millions of dollars in additional revenue. These results aren't outliers though, in that these client success stories are weekly occurrences.
