Why he is nominated: Jarrod Dicker is the head of ad product and technology at The Washington Post and founder of RED, The Post's research experimentation and development team. Dicker oversees all of the company’s technology and product operations, across both advertising and partnerships. He is responsible for all of the new revenue developments built across The Washington Post platform including Arc Ads; FlexPlay, proprietary technology that optimizes creatives for faster-loading, interactive video ads across platforms; PostPulse, proprietary technology that matches ads with key audiences to recommend content based on interests; Zeus, and ad product that provides a faster and more efficient ad performance on mobile; Re-Engage, a product that provides personalized content recommendations and appears when mobile users show signs of distraction or stop engaging with content when on article pages; Fuse, proprietary ad tech that provides a seamless, immersive, cross-platform experience; and more.
His work is focused on not just The Washington Post, but moving the entire ad industry forward with technology solutions for a better advertising ecosystem. Prior to The Washington Post, Dicker lead product and engineering teams at RebelMouse, The Huffington Post, AOL and Time Inc.
