To celebrate PlayStation turning 20 years old, during a period which saw four generations of consoles and a handful of handhelds, Sony will share the history of the brand through its social media channels today (2 December).
The #20HoursofPlay campaign will see PlayStation takes its followers on a retro journey through the years - lasting a whole 20 hours.
It comprises a series of images, videos and infographics on the @PlayStationEU Twitter marking 20 years since the grey plastic shell we know as the PlayStation One changed the face of the industry with its never-seen-before 3D graphics.
Fans are also encouraged to share their life-defining PlayStation moments to pay tribute to the company which shaped the face of gaming.
Live updates will also be provided on the PlayStation blog and a dedicated anniversary page on PlayStation.com.
While the electronics giant will on Tuesday celebrate its past, a recent ad from 180 Amsterdam heralded the PS4 as 'the Future of Play'.
