McDonald’s is inviting the public to come and create their own 3D knitted stocking as part of the ‘Knitmas Greetings’ campaign.

Using a highly-responsive and intuitive interface, which also showcases the fast food chain’s Festive Menu, visitors can choose a Christmas greeting, pick the colour of their yarn and select from a range of seasonal patterns to finish off their stocking.

Designs can then be shared via social media with friends and followers encouraged to join in the fun.

Created by Razorfish the digital agency has partnered with British knitwear firm Grannies Inc to gift a number of lucky participants with their digital creations as real custom knitted stockings in time of the big day.

The site was built in WebGL and HTML5 with Goodboy Digital working alongside Razorfish to produce the site.
