Aldi mocks rival retailers claiming every day is #BlackFriday at the supermarket
Discount retailer Aldi mocked its rivals’ participation in the Black Friday phenomenon which saw fights break out all over the UK as shoppers tried to snag a bargain.
Aldi did not participate in Black Friday
While the UK's 'big four' supermarkets Asda, Tesco, Sainsbury's and Morrisons adopted the American shopping gimmick, Aldi refrained, instead issuing a snide tweet claiming to always offer the lowest prices.
It said: “We think we did #BlackFriday last week. Although it was just called Friday”

European chain Lidl also opted out of running a Black Friday promotion with it also claiming it offers shoppers low prices all year round.
With rival supermarkets opening early, Rakuten marketing predicted that around 15 per cent of Black Friday sales took place before 9am.
