Hearst names Ella Dolphin as UK commercial director

Hearst Magazines UK has promoted Ella Dolphin as group commercial director, a post which will place her at the heart of the publisher’s cross-platform commercial strategy.

Tasked with heading up a sales team Dolphin will also be responsible for devising creative products and offering solutions for advertisers across mobile, tablet, web, print and events sectors.

Previously Dolphin undertook the role of group publishing director for titles including Cosmopolitan, Red and Esquire and the business is currently recruiting for someone to perform this role.

Dolphin will report directly to Hearst UK chief executive Anna Jones, who said: “Ella combines a deep understanding of brands and content with a fresh and innovative approach to commercial partnerships, and I am delighted to have her on board. Ella will strengthen our unique approach to creative, digital, content and experiential solutions to ensure our advertising partners get maximum value from all our brands and channels.”

Dolphin added: “I’m extremely excited to be taking on the Group Commercial Director role at Hearst. Our 26 iconic brands have extraordinary reach and there is a huge opportunity to create compelling 360 brand and audience solutions supported by outstanding client service. I am very much looking forward to building on the fresh energy in the business.”
