The Drum named content team of the year at PPA Digital Awards
The Drum was named content team of the year at last night’s PPA Digital Awards, with judges praising the editorial team’s use of multimedia.
Scooping the prize for the business media sector, judges said they were “impressed with this transformation from print-first to a classy digital offering, and a successful re-evaluation of content strategy around news.
“The team has strong writers and uses multimedia to great effect. This is a small, talented team that is prolific in their output of high-value content.”
The consumer content team of the year award went to BBC’s Top Gear digital content team.

This award win comes months after The Drum won editorial team of the year, as well as being named digital publishing company of the year, at the AOP Digital Publishing Awards.
The Drum’s editorial team is also set to grow, with Marketing Week’s Seb Joseph to join the team in December as senior reporter.
