Australian TV network Foxtel has recruited Joanna Lumley to launch its new box set channel after approaching UK creative agency Brothers and Sisters and asking it to extend the concept it had developed for Sky also starring the British actress.

The spots created by Brothers and Sisters for Foxtel Australia see Lumley act as characters from the Sopranos and Australian prison drama Wentworth, with a third spot based on Lumley’s own Absolutely Fabulous to launch in December.

“Joanna’s box set trailers are a hilarious creative franchise and we are delighted they are going global,” said Andy Fowler, founder and executive creative director at Brothers and Sisters.

The deal was negotiated through TPF London, who Foxtel work with in the UK for promotions and PR. Foxtel’s Box Sets channel launched in Australia on 3 November.
