Future has launched GamesRadar+, a video game site which will also cover TV and movies as a result of TotalFilm and SFX being migrated into the brand online.

The evolution of GamesRadar as GamesRadar+ was commissioned to echo the changes in the entertainment industry, which has seen consoles such as the Xbox One and PS4 become multimedia platforms capable of streaming movies, TV and music.
To cover this industry-wide change, the GamesRadar+ website was relaunched with a movie and TV channel, sharing content relevant to the readership. The publication will look to grow its monthly audience of 6.5 million by becoming a destination for both video games fans and wider entertainment enthusiasts.
Declan Gough, head of content and marketing of film, games and music at Future, said: “The arrival of movie and TV content onto GamesRadar+ via the world renowned experts on Total Film and SFX will give the site an unbeatable edge when it comes to delivering gaming and entertainment content.
“Our research has shown clearly that consumers are not exclusively into just gaming, and with the development of the new consoles into powerful, all-encompassing entertainment systems, now is the perfect time to reflect this with the development of Gamesradar+.”
GamesRadar+ has also launched a new channel called 'Cool Stuff' where the editors and readers can share and discuss 'cool' items such as toys, soundtracks, books, or board games.
On the site, Future will make the most of its new programmatic ad exchange, which it created in collaboration with digital agency Rubicon project, which launched late in August.
