Discovery Channel UK and French’s Hot Dogs ink six-figure sponsorship deal

French’s Hot Dogs is to sponsor the Discovery Channel UK for five months in a six- figure deal, which will see the US mustard brand promote its new hot dog range during shows including the next Bear Grylls franchise.

The idents, created by Tricycle, depict adventurers throughout history, from Sir Francis Drake to Captain Cook, in fun sketches that end with the strapline ‘a taste for Discovery’.

They wil run once an hour, 24 hours a day, across the channel’s programming, including series two Wheeler Dealers: Trading Up, and Misfits Garage – a spin off from Fast ‘N’ Loud.

The deal was brokered by Katie Coteman, director brand partnerships at Discovery Networks UK and Rosalyn Child, brand partnerships manager at Discovery alongside Phil Creswell, activation director, UM.
