VCCP’s group PR director Katherine Levy has left the agency to take up the role of marketing and new business director at Portas, the communications agency spearheaded by Mary Portas.

In her new role, Levy will report to Portas’ managing director Caireen Wackett, and will be responsible for the marketing, PR and new business functions of the agency which counts Clarks, Westfield and Mercedes-Benz amongst its clients.

Levy commented on her appointment: “I’m thrilled to be joining Portas and working with a brand that has such currency in today’s creative and communications sectors. I’m attracted to working with inspiring people who are collaborative and innovative, and this agency has it in spades.”

Wackett added that the addition of Levy to the team will help build on its ambition to take the agency “to the next level”.

Prior to her role at VCCP, Levy worked at Campaign, the Telegraph Magazine and Harpers Bazaar. She joins Portas on Monday 17 November.
