The Content Lab looks to experiment with storytelling to find new and creative ways for brands to reach people, with the aim to fight against content pollution.

Woods said: “For too long, brands have pumped out an excess of written content, but storytelling is about more than text alone. We’re fired-up to create rich, visual, multi-channel brand stories that cut through the content pollution.”

He will work with Bite clients such as Amazon, Flipboard, GoDaddy, Hasbro, Quip, Sage, WeWork and 4Music, along with Bite’s team of six former journalists.

“We spent six months hunting for the very best talent to both lead and be part of the Content Lab because it’s a major investment for us,” said Kath Easthope, managing director at Bite.

“Rory will be an inspirational leader. He thinks about content and storytelling in a brilliantly unique way and has bags of new and inventive ideas. It was immediately obvious Rory is a born Biter and his extensive in-house and agency experience makes him the perfect person to create inspiring campaigns for new and existing Bite clients.”

Formerly of M&C Saatchi and Saatchi & Saatchi, Woods has worked on campaigns for brands such as Adidas, AMEX, Barbour, Diesel, M&S and Samsung.
