James Villa Holidays has appointed the7stars to handle its media account, The Drum understands.
Starcom MediaVest Group had previously held the account for nine years, but declined to take part in an open pitch after a decision to consolidate the brand’s agency roster.
An SMG spokesperson said: “MediaVest has handled the TV buying account for James Villa Holidays for nine years.
“When its parent company Wyndham Worldwide Corp decided to consolidate its agency roster and hold an open pitch, MediaVest chose not to participate. James Villa is a fantastic brand and we wish it every success in the future.”
While with MediaVest, James Villa billed around £1m per year.
