Apple has publicly conceded for the first time that its eagerly anticipated Apple Watch will require daily charging to remain powered, confirming suspicions after the technology giant refused to mention battery life at its September unveil.

CEO Tim Cook made the admission whilst evangelising over the wrist mounted gadgets potential, to The Verge, stating: “I think given my own experience, and others around it, that you're going to wind up charging it every day. Because you're going to use it so much.”

Apple is planning to target fashion and fitness enthusiasts with its product offering three flavours to potential customers; normal, sport and luxury.

There are many questions still surrounding the device, not least its potential market but Apple are aiming to get a head start on the competition with unique features such as a ‘digital crown’ to control zoom and scrolling menus together with a taptic feedback system which uses vibration to communicate.
