Tiffany & Co hands $100m global media account to MEC
Luxury jewellery retailer Tiffany & Co has handed its global media account, estimated to be around $100m (£62m) to MEC following a competitive pitch process that took place in July.
Previously Tiffany's media planning and buying had been split regionally among several agencies, with the EMEA handled by incumbent UM, Carat in Asia Specific and Merkle in the US.
The review was handled by the New York-based Ark Advisors and saw MEC beat its sister network MediaCom and Omnicom Media Group to the business, which it will run from New York.
This February Tiffany's appointed Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide as its creative agency of record, and tasked the agency with helping the internal marketing team across print, digital and out of home for the brand, providing brand positioning and advertising support.
