YouTube and Turkish Airlines partner for global vlogger campaign

YouTube has partnered with Turkish Airlines for a new global campaign that will see the airline brand fly some of YouTube’s high-profile vloggers to Istanbul with just a passport and bag.

The #FortuneTraveller initiative involves taking Devin Supertramp and Damian Walters to the Turkish city will take part in a traditional Turkish fortune telling event, after which they will be sent to one of Turkish Airlines’ 260 destinations.

The YouTube vloggers will be asked to record their experiences showcasing Istanbul, the chosen destination and the Turkish Airlines experience. Each video will be housed on the Turkish Airlines YouTube channel.

The deal was brokered and produced by cloud-based video distribution network Rightster and includes talent from 10 countries, across all the major global YouTube networks.

Neset Dereli, interactive marketing manager at Turkish Airlines, added: “This partnership showcases the increasing importance of global YouTube network partnerships delivering long term success for brands on the platform. Bringing together creators from multiple networks and utilising Rightster’s expertise in creating branded content will mean we have the opportunity to reach a truly global audience.”

The partnership will run until the end of November.
