The Ladies European Tour (LET) has selected marketing services agency Southpaw as creative agency for The Solheim Cup following a competitive pitch earlier this year.

Southpaw has been tasked with driving awareness and consideration among sports fans to watch or attend The Solheim Cup in Germany in September 2015. The agency is to deliver an integrated campaign for international markets which positions women’s golf as the most recognised and followed competition in women’s sport across Europe.

Ivan Khodabakhsh, chief executive officer of the Ladies European Tour, said: “We’re focused on developing a strong sports brand and compelling campaign that will bring to life the tradition of The Solheim Cup as well as the historic significance of next year’s event in St. Leon-Rot, Germany. In a short space of time Southpaw has demonstrated a confident understanding of our brand and the passion to help us succeed.”

Southpaw will be officially engaged on the project from mid-October 2014, initially creating film content and print assets to drive early engagement with the brand in international markets.
