Sailor Jerry has collaborated with Iggy Pop for the launch of a Flash Collection of clothing inspired by Norman 'Sailor Jerry' Collins' tattoos.

The collection, which was announced earlier this year, features a blue-black 50's style denim vest, emblazoned with the Sailor Jerry anchor logo and the phrase 'Death Shall Triumph'.

Each vest comes with a pack of six patches, chosen from Iggy Pop's favorite flash designs, so people can customise their vests.

William Grant & Sons, owner of the Sailor Jerry spiced rum brand, said the rock icon chose the vest as a featured piece because it is his preferred garment for when he can't be shirtless.

Only 50 of the limited edition vests will be produced, and each one will be hand-signed by Iggy Pop.

A leather belt will also be sold and uses a Sailor Jerry image of a shark rising from the sea as its buckle.

“I dig Norman’s tattoo designs,” explained Iggy Pop “and totally wanted to bring to life his awesome Flash Art in a clothing range. This is my first time designing a clothing collection and what’s been really interesting is digging through all of Norman ‘Sailor Jerry’ Collins’ work and learning all about the man, the legend!”

The Flash collection denim vest, leather belt and a set of six patches will be available to purchase for a limited period on sailorjerryclothing.com, as well as a handful of stores around the world, including Bolt London.

Iggy Pop follows last year's collaborator, musician and artist Paul Simonon, of the Clash and Gorillaz.
