Diageo’s new whisky brand Haig Club, developed in partnership with David Beckham and British entrepreneur Simon Fuller, is to make its TV debut tonight (Friday 17 October) on Sky.

Created by adam&eveDDB, the ‘Welcome’ advertising campaign stars David Beckham and was directed by Guy Richie.

The 90 second creative weaves together a series of journeys made by groups of friends though the Highlands, as they make their way to an estate in Glen Affric near Inverness. The action culminates with a celebratory toast in which the group all raise a glass before shots of the friends are shown from numerous locations around the world.

Ronan Beirne, global marketing director, Haig Club, said: “The toast is a time honoured tradition rich in heritage with the ability to bring people together and we are putting this gesture at the heart of Haig Club...Our vision for the film has brought this gesture - which we hope will become synonymous with Haig Club - to life once again, with a modern look.”

Recently Beckham welcomed friends and the world to the Haig Club at a launch event in Edinburgh. In addition to the TV campaign former football star also features in print adverts shot by Peter Lindbergh.
