The Southern Co-operative (TSC) has launched an in-store promotion at 39 of its Co-operative Food stores in the Portsmouth and Gosport area, offering over £1m worth of cash and product prizes to local shoppers.

The ‘Lucky Locals’ promotion, created by Atom Marketing, is designed to reward customers for shopping with TSC more often, increasing basket spend and encouraging new customers to visit stores.

Customers who spend over £5 or more on qualifying products receive a promotional scratch card, which contains three separate games.

To support the promotion, local newspapers recently carried vouchers to be exchanged in-store for a free scratch card.

The promotion runs throughout October and November.
