Topman is to launch its first digital personal shopping service in partnership with Google+.

The complimentary experience will offer customers the opportunity to pre-book appointments online via Google’s hangout technology.

They will have the option to request specific styles or trends ahead of the appointment, which can then be pre-selected by the team.

The service will be available to book across multiple devices including smart phones and tablets, through a new dedicated webpage on the Topman site.

Users will also have the option to purchase items directly from their private hangout session.

Jason Griffiths, Topman marketing director commented: “To be able to open up our Personal Shopping service to all of our customers all over the UK through shoppable Google+ Hangouts is incredibly exciting.

"Through a few simple clicks you will be able to book and experience a one-on-one online appointment with one of our expert personal shoppers no matter where you are. To be the first fashion brand to offer this service further demonstrates Topman’s credentials as being at the forefront of all things innovative in the fashion world.”

To coincide with the launch, BBC Radio 1 presenter Nick Grimshaw will host a live broadcast hangout with the personal shopping team on 1 October from 6pm – 6.30pm.

The initiative will begin in the UK with the view to then launch globally across all Topman markets.
