Heineken has rescheduled a live broadcast CNBC International programme, which was meant to air in July, but had to be postponed in the wake of the Malaysian Airlines MH17 disaster that killed 173 Dutch nationals.

At the time a Heineken spokesperson deemed the live entertainment show, City Limits: Live, as “inappropriate”, given that part of the programme was due to be filmed in Amsterdam.

However, the show, which forms part of the beer brand’s wider Cities of The World campaign, will now be broadcast across CNBC International on Saturday 20 September at 7pm.

City Limits: Live will showcase the best cultural, food and sporting destinations from three European cities; Amsterdam, Madrid and London.

Hosted by Rick Edwards and Kate Thornton, the show will feature three roving reporters who are set to face a series of challenges in their city. Melvin O’Doom (London), Javier “Maldo” Maldonado (Madrid) and Levi Van Kempen (Amsterdam) will seek out hidden treasures in each city using their “wit and charm” to complete the tasks.

The hour-long show was originally planned to last three hours, but has been scaled back after the tragedy.
