Skateboarding shoe and clothing brand DC Shoes has partnered with Talenthouse, a global online community of artists, to custom design its new DC Trase shoe.

Submissions will be accepted by Talenthouse’s creatives, which consist of artists from art, film, fashion, music and photography, until the 22 September on the Talenthouse website.

The overall winner receive $10,000 and have their design put into production and sold on the DC Shoes website in addition to select DC Shoes retailers around the world.

DC shoes global director of men's footwear, Wallace Mills, skateboarder Tristan Funkhouser and contemporary fine art publisher Scott Sant'Angelo will sit on the judging panel.

Commenting on the partnership Mills remarked: “We’re thrilled to be working with Talenthouse. This is an exciting, life-changer for creatives everywhere; one which will offer the overall winner a once in a lifetime opportunity to be part of our legacy.”

In addition to the overall winning design, DC Shoes may choose further designs which could be put into production. These selected artists, along with the artist with the largest amount of support from the Talenthouse community, will receive $2,500.
