Alpha Zoo, a children’s app which aims to teach the alphabet, has launched following a successful Kickstarter campaign.

Created by three dads working in the ad industry - Gareth Hopkins, Stuart Jackson and Jon Severn – the app allows youngsters to trace upper and lower case letters, with the option of playing each letter with sound to help children understand what noise each letter makes.

When children are successful in tracing a letter, they are rewarded with interaction from the characters, as well as rhymes.

Developed in Unity, the app uses 3D modelling and animation technology and is available on Android and iOS.
