Sportswear brand Puma’s latest PR campaign has backfired after mischief making tweeters co-opted its personalised ‘Forever faster’ push to pen a series of derogatory statements on a card, unwittingly signed by Puma brand ambassadors including Radamel Falcao, Cesc Fabregas and Usain Bolt.

The open to abuse system invited fans to tweet the #foreverfaster hashtag and their Twitter name would be printed in a personalised card signed by the star, rival fans soon co-opted this goodwill gesture with predictably grisly results however.

By changing their Twitter names into less than complimentary phrases Puma the automated system was duped into tweeting a series of crass messages to the amused fans.

Amongst those to fall foul of the prank was Usain Bolt, who signed a card reading: ‘ImErrect, forget the pack follow your instincts’ and Marco Reus, whose autograph signature appeared below the message: ‘Cocaine, couldn’t do it without you’.
